McAfee, Inc. today announced that it has added 11 new partners across the United States and Europe to its McAfee Security Innovation Alliance™ (SIA) program. The McAfee Security Innovation Alliance is a technology partnering program that accelerates the development of interoperable security products and simplifies the integration of those products within complex customer environments. “In 2007, McAfee made the strategic decision to unlock its technology architecture, allowing integrations with the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator platform, Vulnerability Management Service and Endpoint Encryption solutions,” said Ed Barry, senior director, McAfee Security Innovation Alliance. “Today, the program includes more than 65 partners that are collaborating with us to maximize the value of existing customer investments, to reduce time to problem resolution and to ultimately lower operational costs. We are proud of our growth and look forward to the program’s continued success.” SIA partners extend the McAfee portfolio with innovative use cases in many areas, among them application and database security, authentication, security event and log management, theft and forensics, power management, wireless security and data backup. McAfee works with SIA partners to develop more complete security and compliance solutions by maintaining an open architecture, providing a software development kit (SDK), and testing the integrations for compatibility. McAfee has promoted six of its partners to Technology Partner status, including AirPatrol, Guidance Software, HID Global, Skybox Security, UPEK Inc. and Voltage Security. These new solutions have also been awarded the “McAfee Compatible” designation. In addition, nine new Associate Partners have joined SIA and are working with McAfee to complete their integrations, including Insightix, Intrinsic, MANDIANT, Netcordia, NetWitness, Precise Biometrics, SignaCert, Toshiba America Information Systems and Tufin. Finally, McAfee welcomes AirPatrol, Absolute Software, Prevari, Triumfant and Voltage Security to its invitation-only Sales Teaming Program. Partners participating in the Sales Teaming Program complement the McAfee product portfolio, and enable the McAfee sales force and channel to drive more complete security solution relationships with enterprise customers. The McAfee Security Innovation Alliance program accelerates the development of interoperable security products and simplifies the integration of those products within complex customer environments. Supported by the program, partners integrate their products with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator software, McAfee’s industry-leading security and compliance management platform, and/or other McAfee products, such as McAfee Endpoint Encryption software and McAfee Vulnerability Management Service. |
